Privacy Policy for SquatBreak

This policy describes how SquatBreak (“the App”) handles information when you use it. By using the App, you agree to this policy.

SquatBreak is designed to remind you to take squat breaks and to help you track your progress on your device. The developer does not operate a server for the App that collects your activity data.

Information the App processes

The App stores and uses the following locally on your device (for example using Apple’s standard on-device storage such as UserDefaults):

  • Activity and progress: timestamps related to completed squat breaks; how you completed them (for example from a notification or in the app); daily targets; streaks; snooze counts.

  • Schedule and preferences: times when reminders should run; interval between breaks; whether reminders are paused; settings related to daily check-in.

  • Optional engagement data: approximate time the App spends in the foreground per day, used only to support in-app statistics.

  • Optional A1C lab readings: if you choose to enter them, HbA1c values and lab dates you record for personal tracking in the app.

  • App state: for example whether you have finished onboarding.

This data stays on your device unless you back up or transfer your device using Apple’s systems (such as encrypted device backups or migration), which are governed by Apple’s policies.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, the App schedules local reminders on your device (for squat breaks and optional daily check-in prompts). Notification content is generated on your device. Granting notification permission is optional; you can change it in iOS Settings.

The App does not send push notifications from the developer’s servers for this purpose.

Data we do not collect through the App

The App does not:

  • Require an account, username, or password for core use.

  • Sell your personal information.

  • Use advertising or behavioral analytics SDKs in the App as shipped.

  • Send your squat activity or schedule to the developer’s servers (the App does not use such a backend for that data).

If you tap external links inside the App (for example to articles or videos), those sites are operated by third parties and have their own terms and policies.

Apple and your device

The App runs on Apple’s platforms and follows system rules for storage, notifications, and permissions. Apple may provide diagnostic or usage information according to your device and Apple ID settings (for example crash reports or analytics shared with developers through Apple’s tools). That processing is described in Apple’s privacy documentation and your device settings.

Children’s privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your region). The developer does not knowingly collect personal information from children through the App as described in this policy.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The Last updated date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.

If you are in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, you may have rights under applicable data protection law (such as access, correction, or deletion) with respect to personal data we process. For this App, most data exists only on your device under your control; you can delete the App to remove its locally stored data (subject to device backups).
